Calculate UK alcohol units

One UK unit is 10 ml of pure alcohol. Units = volume in ml multiplied by ABV percentage, divided by 1000. A 50 ml pour of 40% spirit contains two units.

Put it into practice

A cocktail can contain several alcoholic ingredients. Add their units together. Dilution changes strength per sip but does not change the units in the serving.
